We are searching for a motivated Finance Systems Specialist to join our team. This role plays a key part in driving and supporting finance-related projects, while providing ongoing support for existing finance systems. You will work closely with finance users, IT department and external vendors to ensure successful system implementation, integration and ongoing support within the stipulated deadline set. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy finance professional with strong project coordination skills, a passion for process improvement and hands-on system support experience.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities
 

Finance Projects & Systems

  • Partner with Finance, Business Units, IT teams, and vendors to gather business requirements and support the delivery of finance system projects and enhancements.

  • Coordinate project activities, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful implementation.

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including business requirements, process flows, testing plans, and presentations.

  • Support system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements through requirements validation, testing, and user adoption activities.

Finance Systems Administration & Support

  • Provide day-to-day support for finance systems, including user access management, system administration, issue resolution, and report maintenance.

  • Liaise with users, IT teams, and vendors to investigate, track, and resolve system-related issues in a timely manner.

  • Coordinate and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new system functionalities and enhancements.

  • Develop and maintain user guides, training materials, and system documentation to support effective system usage.

Process Improvement & User Enablement

  • Gather and analyse user feedback to identify process improvement and system enhancement opportunities.

  • Work closely with IT and business stakeholders to evaluate, prioritise, and implement system improvements.

  • Drive user adoption through training, knowledge sharing, and the development of engaging learning resources.

  • Explore opportunities to optimise finance processes and leverage system capabilities across the organisation.

Finance Operations Support

  • Provide finance operational support and assist with system-related reviews, controls, and reporting activities.

  • Support internal and external audit requirements, including documentation and system-related enquiries.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Finance or a IT/Finance related disciplines

  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience - preferably in finance systems or finance transformation roles.

  • Good understanding of finance processes, internal controls, and compliance requirements.

  • Prior experience in finance project deployment or system implementation is preferred

  • Familiarity with SAP or Netsuite will be an advantage

Skills Required
