Specialist Durability
Job Introduction:
Durability Systems Engineer is responsible for ensuring that a system can withstand its intended operating conditions throughout its design life. This role combines simulation (virtual validation) and testing (physical validation) to Durability.
Major Responsibilities:
Perform Fatigue analysis with FEMFAT, ncode, Hyper life for powertrain components
Deep simulation understanding of Dynamic Analysis for Vibration test. (Sine and Random signals)
Deep simulation understanding of Thermo-mechanical analysis with Abaqus (CREEP and Plastic strain)
Perform Mounting fatigue strength analysis.
Able to perform Mechanical shock and Cylinder test explicitly.
Development of test specifications, test procedure and test reports.
Data analysis for test data and failure analysis.
Knowledge and Education:
Bachelor’s/master’s in mechanical/mechatronics engineering from Reputed institution.
Work Experience:
8-10 years of professional experience working in the field of Durability simulations (preferably in automotive transmission systems).
Skills and Competencies:
Advanced Knowledge of HyperMesh, Ansa, Optistuct, Abaqus, FEMFAT and Ncode
Good knowledge of Radioss or LSDyna
Scripting Skills for MATLAB and Python
Deep understanding of material behaviour
Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
Problem solving approach
Correlation test reports with Simulation
Modelling of Printed Circuit boards for simulations is added advantage
