Description
Serve as a Special Operations Assault Zone Controller, in support of the 27th Special Operations Wing (27 SOW) at Cannon AFB, New Mexico. Personnel should have previous qualifications/experience as Combat Controllers, Landing Zone Controllers, Landing Zone Safety Officers, Drop Zone Controllers, or USAF ATC Controllers. Further defined as former Aircrew/Spec Ops/USAF ATC Controllers/AMLO type personnel that have previously been qualified LZC/LZSO/DZCO/DZSO. Personnel should possess or be able to pass a flying class II physical for LZC duties, but not required for LZSO, DZSO or DZC duties.
CONUS/OCONUS travel as required. No relocation assistance is provided for this position.
Requirements
Secret clearance is required. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a position offer or removal.
Start Date: Contingent upon incumbent’s departure.
Skills Required
- Previous qualifications/experience as Combat Controller, Landing Zone Controller, Landing Zone Safety Officer, Drop Zone Controller, or USAF ATC Controller
- Former Aircrew, Special Operations, USAF ATC Controllers, or AMLO-type personnel previously qualified as LZC/LZSO/DZCO/DZSO
- Possess or be able to pass a flying Class II physical (required for LZC duties)
- Willingness to perform CONUS/OCONUS travel as required
- Active Secret security clearance (must obtain and maintain)
