TheraEd Staffing is seeking 2 dedicated Special Education Case Managers to join a supportive school district in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This full-time, in-person role is ideal for professionals with strong organizational and collaboration skills who are passionate about ensuring students receive the special education services and support they need to succeed.
As a Special Education Case Manager, you will oversee the coordination and compliance of special education services while working closely with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage a caseload of students receiving special education services
- Coordinate the development, implementation, and annual review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Schedule and facilitate IEP meetings in compliance with IDEA and state regulations
- Monitor student progress toward IEP goals and ensure services are delivered as outlined
- Maintain accurate and compliant special education documentation and records
- Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned students and their families regarding special education services
RequirementsJob Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field
- Active New Mexico Special Education Teaching License
- Current New Mexico PED (Public Education Department) Certification required
- Experience with IEP development, case management, and special education compliance preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
