Your role at Baxter:

As of February 1, Baxter has completed the sale of its Kidney Care business, which will now operate as Vantive. Today, this job is within a Vantive deferred market, which means that the employer of record for this role will initially be Baxter. When the applicable legal entity in country goes live, the employer of record for the role will transition to Vantive. Vantive builds upon on our nearly 70-year legacy in acute therapies and home and in-center dialysis to provide best-in-class care to the people we serve. We are looking for an accounting specialist responsible for developing and completing month-end close accounting primarily related to business processes. In addition, this role will provide accounting reports and information to business partners. This position will also support various ad-hoc accounting assistance and related projects, as needed.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead internal and external audit process;

• Prepare local financial statement in compliance with BRGAAP rules;

• Delivery accounting local reports to attend tenders, Central Bank and Statistic Office (IBGE) requirements;

• Delivery accounting general ledger report - SPED Contábil.

• Prepare the monthly Income Tax calculation and deliver the annual report - ECF Ensure direct tax compliance of Brasil

• Ensure Transfer Pricing compliance Key-user: provide support to the company's related areas in the accounting set-ups and projects;

• Provide support to the company's related areas and SSC team in the accounting closing routine;

• Review accounting closing activities: revenue recognition, preliminary net sales report, contingency reserve, tax accrual over intercompany invoices, deferred taxes, tax calculation and account monthly variances;

• Approve reconciliation in a Blackline system;

• Fixed asset system updated;

• Comply with the rules, procedures and corporate policies existing in the company, including those pertaining to the Accounting, Treasury, Internal Controls and Taxes.

What you'll bring:

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required

Active register in Conselho Regional de Contabilidade (CRC ativo)

8 years of experience in accounting or related areas is required.

Strong knowledge of statutory accounting / monthly close activities.

Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus

Knowledge in JDE is a plus.
