Because we have strong reason to believe the position will be approved soon, we are proceeding with identifying qualified candidates and conducting interviews. **

The Spacesuit Software Test & Verification Engineer will:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute requirements‑based test plans, procedures, and verification methods for safety‑critical EVA suit software components.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and stress/fault‑injection testing to validate deterministic and robust system behavior.
  • Collaborate with software developers to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and ensure testability of design implementations.
  • Support Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) and simulation‑based verification to confirm real‑time performance and correct interaction with avionics and PLSS subsystems.
  • Analyze test results, identify anomalies, perform root‑cause investigations, and track resolution of defects with cross‑disciplinary teams.
  • Prepare test reports, verification evidence, and objective artifacts required for NASA certification and program‑level reviews.
  • Participate in structured design reviews, code reviews, and safety‑focused assessments, providing verification insight and recommendations.
  • Contribute to configuration management, continuous integration workflows, and automation of test execution where appropriate.
  • Coordinate verification activities with NASA engineering teams and contractor partners to ensure alignment with EVA program requirements, interfaces, and V&V strategies.
  • Support Agile development practices by maintaining traceability, updating verification status, and communicating progress and risks to project leadership.
  • Other duties as required.
