Job Summary
Welcome and assist all members and guests. Make appointments for guests by telephone or in person. Take payment from guests for treatments and products.
Job Description
- Greet guests, perform check-in duties, including billing, review guests’ itinerary with guests and notify appropriate person of guest’s arrival and schedule appointments for guest either in person or telephone, confirm appointments and cross reference appointments, call late or no-show guest and respond accordingly
- Give information either in person or over the telephone regarding spa procedures, facilities, timetables, policies or special functions
- Prepare day’s itinerary, and consultation packets
- Share feedback regarding member and guest’s experiences with Spa Director
- Return voicemails to members and guests in a timely manner
- Maintain a pleasant demeanor and always be willing to go the extra mile to assist members or guests
- Smile and be friendly, helpful, courteous and professional to all clients, guests, and co-workers always
- Participate in all spa activities including staff meetings, educational events, workshops, inventory, or promotions
- Keep all products stocked; inform supervisor if a requested product is not available
- Keep all guest areas neat and tidy, free from trash
- Assist co-workers as needed
- Maintain a working knowledge of the Spa’s menu items
- Keep desk stocked with necessary supplies and work materials
- Handle cash, credit cards and gift certificates in a professional, confidential and honest manner
- Sell merchandise in retail area
- Ensure retail shelves are dust free and product displays are neat and orderly
Job Specifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Spa or hospitality experience is a plus
- Must have the ability to get along with others
- Must be proficient with the use of desktop computers to include navigation and troubleshooting skills and email communication
- Must have the ability to learn multiple software programs
- Must have basic printer and office equipment knowledge
- Must possess exemplary personal skills, etiquette, professional skills and be well organized
- Must be able to communicate professionally with guests and team members
- Must be detailed oriented, able to follow directions, and be able to achieve employee and departmental goals
- Must be able to work with minimal direct supervision
- Must be punctual and prepared for each day
Internal Qualifications
- Must be in full uniform while on property or at a work-related event
- Complete in-house orientation program which includes policies and procedures as per the manual and employee handbook
- Maintain current educational notebook
- Must have knowledge of all Spa services, packages, promotions and retail products offered by the Spa
- Must have knowledge of product ingredients, benefits and application
Physical Demands
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Job requires frequent standing for long periods of time on a regular basis as well as occasionally kneeling, crouching and bending.
