SOX Analyst

We are seeking a skilled and motivated SOX Analyst to join our dynamic Accounting & Finance team, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our Sarbanes-Oxley program. In this position, you will be responsible for performing the testing of internal controls, identifying control deficiencies, and ensuring timely validation of remediation efforts. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, IT, and management, to ensure that internal controls are operating effectively and that the company is in full compliance with regulatory standards.

What you'll be doing

• Assist management in SOX controls testing. Review and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls in a variety of business areas. Lead the testing of certain areas and processes.

• Support segregation of duties and user access review operations within Clario’s third-party tool, ensuring the operating effectiveness of the user access review control for key applications.

• Based on audit objectives and assessed risks, develop/revise audit programs to test the design and effectiveness of internal controls in accordance with applicable internal auditing standards.

• Prepare comprehensive work papers, schedules, and summaries to support control testing performed and deficiencies noted.

• Identify control exceptions, control weaknesses, inefficient practices and procedures, and assist control owners in better understanding the gaps in current practices.

• Provide guidance to control owners on how to most efficiently and effectively implement solutions to identified control deficiencies.

• Assist in performing relevant data analytics to support specific audit objectives and assess the overall effectiveness of SOX controls.

• Assist with the development, implementation, and enhancement of processes and procedures within SOX/Internal audit frameworks, methodologies, and assurance programs.

• Build and maintain close working relationships with all internal management teams as well as external audit, ensuring a deep understanding of key risks and processes of the organization.

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What we look for

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field (accounting, finance, etc.); certifications are preferred (CPA, CIA)

• 2+ years of audit experience focusing on SOX requirements and Internal control testing.

• General accounting experience is a plus.

• Strong team player capable of thriving in a high-demand, fast-paced business-facing role.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential/Highly organized, results driven, problem solver, and collaborator
