Job Description:

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Sourcing and Procurement Analyst, the work you’ll do at GDIT will support the effectiveness and consistency of our Sourcing & Procurement organization. In this role, you will lead and execute procurement activities across the SaaS commodity team, applying your sourcing experience, analytical skills, and understanding of procurement best practices. You will manage end‑to‑end sourcing events, develop and issue RFQs/RFPs, perform competitive analysis, support strategic sourcing activities, and support contract negotiations in alignment with GDIT’s risk mitigation process.

You will partner closely with cross‑functional teams to define business requirements, assess supplier capabilities, analyze cost drivers, and recommend sourcing strategies that support program objectives. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with procurement policies, maintaining accurate documentation, and driving disciplined execution throughout the sourcing lifecycle.

You will play a critical role in supplier management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement efforts—enhancing process efficiency, improving data quality, and contributing actionable insights that strengthen procurement outcomes across the organization

In this role you will:

  • Lead and support sourcing activities across the SaaS team, ensuring alignment with category strategies.
  • Prepare and execute sourcing events, gather and validate business requirements, and assess supplier capabilities using structured evaluation criteria.
  • Develop and issue RFQs, manage documentation and timelines, and perform supplier and cost analyses to inform recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records, uphold procurement policies and regulatory requirements, and ensure compliance throughout the sourcing lifecycle.
  • Facilitate cross‑functional communication, coordinate supplier meetings, drive issue resolution, and support early‑stage supplier engagement.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, enhance workflows, and contribute to updates of procurement tools, templates, and best practices.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Bring your procurement expertise, analytical strength, and collaborative problem‑solving style to GDIT. The Strategic Procurement Analyst must have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, operations, or related field; 4+ years of additional relevant experience can substitute for a degree.
  • 2+ years of supply chain experience
  • Experience: Government procurement experience is highly desired; however, candidates with relevant experience in business, supply chain, operations, government contracting, or other procurement‑adjacent fields are also encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in written/oral communications at all levels of the company
  • Ability to research, analyze, compile, and assess business and financial data
  • Ability to make sound decisions and recommendations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented individual who works quickly and efficiently and learns quickly
  • Ability to manage multiple projects related to the purchasing process
  • Location: Remote

The likely salary range for this position is $62,900 - $85,100. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
