Your role
Sourcing Manager primarily for CAPEX projects (Construction & Manufacturing/Process Equipment) within the Indirect Procurement team.
The job owner will develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies for capital investments, with a primary focus on construction as well as Pharma manufacturing and process equipment including Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing. In addition the role includes other indirect sourcing activities and supporting colleagues in their projects. As Sourcing Manager, you will conduct end to end project sourcing, supplier selection, and contract negotiations to secure optimal commercial terms while ensuring alignment with internal stakeholder needs.
The position is permanent and it is based in Espoo or Turku with a hybrid work model.

- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with global and regional business objectives.
- Collaborate across functions with facility management teams, EHS, manufacturing, engineering, quality, and core business stakeholders to ensure aligned decision‑making and seamless project execution.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure suppliers meet all quality, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- Conduct market and industry research, benchmarking, and competitive analysis to support informed sourcing decisions.
- Drive initiatives focused on cost optimization, risk mitigation, operational continuity, and sustainability.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, quality systems, governance frameworks, and legal requirements.

Our expectations
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in Sourcing or Category Management, with a knowledge base equivalent to M.Sc. degree in Engineering, Business (e.g. SCM, Logistics, Industrial Economics) or in other suitable field.
- Proven track record in Indirect Sourcing, including construction projects, capital equipment, consultancy services, or related categories.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, including SOWs (Statement of Work), pricing structures, commercial terms, and supplier agreements that deliver optimal outcomes.
- Proficiency in developing complex RFx packages, scorecards, and award criteria.
- Strong ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organization, leveraging analytics and insights to to support business case evalutions and drive change.
- Excellent spoken, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English and Finnish, with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Proven project management skills and the ability to document, plan, execute, and communicate programs effectively.
- High level of adaptability, urgency, and integrity, with the ability to perform in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Previous experience with SAP is seen as a strong advantage.
- Willingness to travel mainly domestically and engage with relevant stakeholders.

Your new team
Orion's Global Operations covers the entire pharmaceutical manufacturing process, from sourcing of raw materials to the manufacture of products, packaging and delivery to customers. We are also responsible for the industrialization of new products and product life cycle management.
In Global Operations we have approximately 1,600 professionals working in Production, our external supplier network (External Supply Operations) and Fermion Oy (API manufacturing and marketing). In addition, the organization includes Supply Chain & Procurement, Technical Operations, Facility Management, EHS (Environment, Health and Safety), CPD&LCM (Commercial Product Development & Product lifecycle management) and Operations Development.
The Indirect Procurement is part of Procurement and Supply Chain in Orion Global Operations and responsible for global sourcing for Orion and Fermion, risk and cost management, category strategy work, and supplier relationship management and performance. The Indirect Procurement team consists of five main procurement categories an 19 procurement professionals. You would report to Category Manager (MRO, Supplies and Facilities).
