As a Market Solutions Specialist, you will drive technical excellence by providing critical support for the seamless delivery of TMX trading and market data products to our diverse customer base.
This role reports to: Senior Manager, Market Solutions
Job Location: Hybrid (2-3 days in office) - based in Toronto, ON.
Key Accountabilities
Understand the equities market, industry economics, and customer business.
Understand network fundamentals with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot network-related issues and provide front-line customer support.
Understand basic network knowledge such as, but not limited to: Multicast, TCP/IP.
Understand basic support tools such as, but not limited to: Netscout and Wireshark.
Support clients with their market access needs, including certifying client technology and troubleshooting connectivity and latency issues.
Liaise between external clients and TSX Information and Trading Technology (I&TT) groups to troubleshoot network and application connectivity issues.
Monitor the health of Trading and Market Data systems.
Coordinate customer communications with other TMX teams and business units as required.
Gather market intelligence and engage product management with new development ideas.
Integral part of the delivery of all Business Continuity, Incident Management, and Disaster Recovery plans.
Monitor the activity of competitors in the territory and summarize to management with recommendations for action.
Advocate for improvements to the team’s work practices and identify opportunities to promote work effectiveness.
Must Have(s)
Minimum of two years of experience in a front-line customer service environment.
Strong knowledge of the market data and securities industry is essential.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Strong computer and detail-oriented skills.
Firm understanding of network fundamentals.
Good troubleshooting skills.
Collaborative team player who can work effectively with the business development team from a physically remote location, as well as other teams across the organization.
Nice to Have(s)
Understanding of ITIL best practices and industry standards is an asset.
Some experience with an internet based information delivery systems is an asset.
Completion of the Canadian Securities Course is an asset.
Completion of the Traders Training Course is an asset.
Bilingualism is an asset.
Salary Range: $90K/year - $95K/year CAD. Please note that the salary range included is a guideline only. The salary offered may vary based on factors, including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
