Head of Solutions – Forests, Land, and Agriculture (FLAG) Supply Chain & GeoAI
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Solutions to lead the strategy and delivery of GeoAI-enabled solutions that leverage Chloris data and analytics to monitor, optimize, and decarbonize supply chains in the forest, land, and agriculture (FLAG) sector. The Head of Solutions will coordinate and lead teams that use geospatial intelligence and AI agents to create tailored solutions for companies in areas such as retail, food and beverage, forest products, and agriculture. Reporting directly to the President and co-CEO, the Head of Solution will build on Chloris' existing expertise in delivering data that meets customers’ needs to develop Chloris’ Solutions Business line.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Development: Define vision and strategy for Chloris’ Forests, Land, and Agriculture (FLAG) Supply Chain Solutions: flexible offerings that blend Chloris’ proprietary data, advanced analytics, and GeoAI to respond to the geospatial and sustainability needs of FLAG companies, for their land use emission decarbonization strategy and reporting needs.
- Business Development and Client Relationship Management: Collaborate with Chloris’ Business Development team in go-to-market strategy, and lead client acquisition for the Solutions Business, with a focus on global companies in consumer goods, food & beverage, retail, and agriculture. Develop and nurture client relationships, and take ownership of strategic-level engagement with senior client executives.
- Solutions Development: Structure ambiguous problems to arrive at the definition of client-ready solutions by collaborating with clients and internal experts. Direct the development of agents that integrate Chloris data, other geospatial data, and customer data to provide actionable FLAG insights and outputs that comply with relevant frameworks like GHG Protocol Land Sector & Removals Guidance and EU Deforestation Regulation. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
- Team Leadership: Lead and coach solutions teams in the execution of client projects, manage across multiple workstreams, and ensure that final deliverables meet Chloris and customers’ high expectations.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a relevant discipline required,
- 7+ years in sustainability tech, agri-supply chains, or ESG solutions leadership, ideally in top-tier strategy consulting, technology companies, or similar fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and effective communication skills to interact with clients and teams.
- Distinctive leadership skills combining a strong personal dedication to impact, entrepreneurial spirit, inclusive team leadership, and the courage to drive change while cultivating deep trust with colleagues and clients..
- A proven track record in successfully leading large-scale projects and teams, and in helping frame, design and execute solutions for challenging scientific or business problems
- Experience in successfully developing new customer relationships and delivering products or solutions to clients.
- Deep understanding of remote sensing and geospatial data sources, of Land Use, Land-Use Change, And Forestry (LULUCF) carbon accounting, and of sustainable sourcing, deforestation-free supply chains, and other relevant environmental monitoring and reporting frameworks.
- Familiarity with AI orchestration platforms.
- Willingness to travel (up to 50% of the time).
Location + Time Commitment
This is a full-time position anchored in our new European hub in Florence, Italy. This role requires substantial availability for business travel. Fully remote options are available for exceptional candidates.
We are committed to providing a hybrid work environment that allows for in-person and on-site collaboration in our Florence office space, in addition to allowing for the benefits that come from flexible, work-from-anywhere arrangements for part of the week. We will assist in the relocation of qualified candidates who are authorized to work in the European Union.
