Technical Solutions Lead - Finance/Treasury Systems

As Technical Solutions Lead, Finance/Treasury Systems, based in Sydney HQ, you’ll collaborate with the Group Treasury, Finance and other functions to lead the technical design, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of treasury systems.

Your day to day 

Solution Design & Architecture: Lead the design of the end-to-end technology solution aligned to business requirements and enterprise standards. Ensure the solution supports treasury and associated financial processes. Select and recommend platforms, tools, and technologies based on fit-for-purpose assessment. 

Technical Leadership; Provide technical direction and leadership to software suppliers, integrators, and infrastructure engineers across all solution components (application, data, infrastructure, security). Define and enforce non-functional requirements, including performance, availability, scalability, and security. Act as the primary point of contact for all technical matters related to the solution. 

Stakeholder Engagement; Collaborate with the Product Owner to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements. Work with the Delivery Lead to ensure project plans reflect technical scope, risks, and dependencies. Engage with enterprise architects, security, data governance, and other internal teams to ensure alignment with broader digital and IT strategy. 

Governance & Quality Assurance; Own the technical assurance process across design, build, test, and deployment phases. Ensure the solution adheres to architecture, security, compliance, and data governance standards. Support the planning and execution of technical testing (e.g., integration testing, performance testing). 

Implementation Support; Support system integration, data migration, and release activities. Provide input to change management and transition-to-support planning. Ensure adequate technical documentation and knowledge transfer is completed.

Treasury Solution Administration and Support; Act as the system administrator for the end to end Treasury solution. Complete regular proactive monitoring, tuning and configuration updates as required. Act as the system expert for support issues. Own the ongoing software supplier relationships. 

Requirements  

Essential: 

• Proven experience in leading the design and implementation of complex technology solutions, ideally in a financial systems and/or treasury context.
• Strong understanding of enterprise finance processes and common finance platforms.
• Experience across application architecture, system integration, data architecture, and cloud-based solutions.
• Solid knowledge of information security principles, data governance, and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile, hybrid, or traditional project delivery environments. 

Desirable: 

• Experience in implementing financial systems in mid-to-large organisations.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as SOX, PCI-DSS, or ISO standards related to finance or data.
• TOGAF or equivalent architectural certification.
• Experience working in fast-paced, scaling environments or transformation programs.
• Experience with Treasury Management Systems (eg Kyriba) and associated banking interfaces.

Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s in Finance/IT; 
• 8+ years in tech/finance roles;
• Global or APAC experience is a benefit.
