Join our Solutions Engineering team as a technical expert and trusted advocate, guiding our customers on their journey to success with Rootly.
As a Solutions Engineer, you'll bring technical expertise to customer implementations and demos. You will develop best practices and content around incident management and on-call, and collaborate across Engineering, Customer Success, Support, and Product to represent the voice of the customer and drive continuous product improvements.
This role requires hands-on work with the integration surface that matters to our customers, including REST APIs, webhooks, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. You will drive technical conversations with engineering teams at customer organizations and act as a technical partner internally to ensure solution requirements are clearly represented.
If you're a developer or technologist who loves discussing technology, enjoys working closely with customers across industries, and brings a problem-solving, can-do mindset, we'd love to meet you. You'll be joining a team that delivers real value through an industry-leading product.
We care more about execution, ownership, and impact than fancy degrees or FAANG experience. If the following resonates with you, we want to hear from you:
- 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Software Engineer with direct customer engagement.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, data mapping, and integration patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform, and familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or Go.
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise integrations.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Support.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both engineering and executive audiences.
- The ability to prioritize responsibilities while adapting to a rapidly changing environment.
We're not just another startup. We're building something category-defining and want teammates who crave ownership, love solving hard problems, and thrive in a high-bar, high-impact environment.
Here's what you can expect when you join Rootly:
- Competitive compensation and early equity in a fast-growing, venture-backed company.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- 3 weeks of vacation, plus unlimited sick and mental health days, and a company-wide end-of-year shutdown to recharge.
- $500 stipend for home office setup.
- Unlimited token usage and access to AI tools.
- A fast-moving, high-impact environment where your leadership and ideas directly shape the future of the company.
This is a newly created vacancy.
