The Job at a Glance
As a Soda Health Solutions Engineer you'll be the technical expert on our platform, working directly with our customers and with our engineering and implementation teams. You are the critical interface between us and the benefit programs which our customers run; the bridge from the outside world into Soda Health.
What You’ll Do
Working within an organization created at the intersection of health care, retail and financial technology, no two days will look the same. Typical responsibilities of the role include:
- Lead the technical delivery of Soda Health solutions for a group of health-plan clients
- Analyze customer needs and system capabilities, and configure systems, write scripts, or extend software to solve gaps as needed
- Provide internal and customer awareness of ongoing operations for that customer
- Manage inbound data, outbound reports, and any other interfaces for the customer
- Based on the needs you identify, work with the product teams to improve the product
- Participate, as needed, in sales, customer service, and adjacent initiatives
- Help to make everyone's time at Soda Health the highlight of their career
About You
While every candidate brings a unique resume and prospective, an ideal candidate will include:
- 3+ years' experience in software engineering or process automation
- Strength in handling data – you know when to reach for the CLI and when to reach for Excel
- A deep love for SQL and reporting
- Experience working on complex systems implementations in a multi-customer environment
- Good communications skills and an interest in guiding less-technical stakeholders toward workable solutions
- An eye for quality; the buck stops with you
- A creative, troubleshooting mindset. When presented with a problem, you are resourceful
- Bachelor’s degree or similar experience strongly preferred
Other Requirements
- Travel may be required from time to time as part of the role, for company events and business needs
- Soda Health is a remote-first, distributed workforce. Candidates should be comfortable with, and equipped to work within, a distributed remote team, including having reliable internet access and basic home office equipment. Soda Health will provide a work laptop, and mouse/keyboard upon request
