We are currently looking for a highly motivated Solutions Engineer (M/F/D) to join our Solutions Engineering team in Munich/Germany or Gdynia/Poland. Principle duties and essential functions
- Providing expert knowledge of WDM to the regional pre-sales teams
- Designing optimized solutions to fit customer specifications, taking both the technical and economical perspective into consideration
- Completing and supporting the technical part of tender responses
- Providing technical sales material on Adtran's solutions to regional Solution Engineers and Sales Managers
- Preparing and delivering customer presentations
- Training of pre-sales personnel on products, solutions and tools
- Feedback on market trends to Business Development and Product Line Management
Knowledge, skills and experience required
- Degree, or equivalent, in electrical engineering, telecommunications, computer science or physics
- Working experience in the area of network providers, data centers, system integrators or telco / router equipment manufacturers
- Advanced Knowledge of Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM)
- Strong ability to work to given deadlines with short response times
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to take fast, autonomous decisions and work on own initiative
- Excellent team worker
- Flexibility to travel worldwide
- Language skills: Fluent in English (both written and spoken), additional languages are beneficial
- A working knowledge of Microsoft office applications
