Reporting to the Manager, Health Plan Solutions Pre-Service, the Solutions Engineer II will lead the technical workstream for implementations of new and existing health plans for the Essentials and Intelligent Gateway products. This is a client-facing role conducting demonstrations for both prospective and existing health plans. Additionally, the Solutions Engineer II is responsible for consulting with health plans on best practices.

To be qualified for this position you:
· 2 years of experience working in a client-facing role and building relationships to establish trust (both internally and externally).
· 2 years of experience working for a technology, technical consulting, or implementation firm - healthcare highly preferred.
· Articulate the product feature/functions of Availity’s Pre-Service products (Eligibility &Benefits, Authorizations, etc.) and develop requirements with value while leading with a standard approach.
· Have analytical, technical problem-solving, and presentation skills.
· Have understand application development practices including SDLC and Agile.
· Have effective written and verbal communication skills for writing business and technical requirements.
· Can deliver assigned tasks and produce deliverables in a high time bound engagement.
· Are adaptable and flexible to changing priorities.
· Have technical aptitude in high performance business to business transactions and stay up to date with technology.
· Understanding of X12, APIs and EDI terminology and implementation practices.
· Can get to client root cause behind the request to consult on recommendations within Availity’s standards.
· Have a continuous improvement mindset to drive efficiency within implementations.
You will set yourself apart with:
· You have experience working with or implementing Pre-Service focused solutions such as Eligibility & Benefits, Authorizations, etc.
· Healthcare technology experience.
· You have basic knowledge of healthcare transactions; particularly EDI, X12 and APIs.
You will be:
· Leading the technical workstream of implementing new and existing health plans for the Essentials and Intelligent Gateway products.
· Leading requirements discussions in implementation meetings with internal and external stakeholders. This role is highly client-facing.
· Executing health plan implementations by documenting business and technical requirements drawing on standard practices and configuration options.
· Working with Implementation team and client to support user acceptance testing and go-live activities.
· Collaborating with the Health Plan implementation leadership on input into project timelines to ensure on-time implementation based on defined scope.
· Participating in the sales discovery process.
· Applying an understanding of our product standards and value and configuration options.
· Engaging with Product Management for custom requests and identifying opportunities to improve implementations through configurations, and planning for the implementation of future functionality and features.
· Supporting multiple, concurrent projects across multiple clients.
