10+ years of hands-on experience as a Solutions Architect and/or Data Engineer designing and implementing data solutions
Experience leading teams and/or mentoring other engineers

Strong programming expertise in Java, Python, and/or Scala

Production experience in platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, Hadoop, and Databricks
Experience with cloud and distributed data storage systems such as S3, ADLS, HDFS, GCS, Kudu, Elasticsearch, Solr, Cassandra, or other NoSQL storage systems
Experience with data integration technologies such as Spark, Kafka, event streaming, StreamSets, Matillion, Fivetran, NiFi, AWS Data Migration Service, Azure Data Factory, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services, Google Dataproc, or similar tools
Experience working with multiple data sources including queues, relational databases, files, search platforms, and APIs
Complete software development lifecycle experience including design, documentation, implementation, testing, and deployment
Experience with automated data transformation and data curation using dbt, Spark, Spark Streaming, and automated pipelines

- Experience with workflow/orchestration tools (Airflow, AWS Managed Airflow, Luigi, NiFi)
- Experience across full SDLC including design, documentation, implementation, testing, and deployment
- Experience delivering projects in a professional services or consulting environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to present to technical and business audiences
- Ability to lead, mentor, and work effectively with distributed cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Preferred: contributions to open source, speaking/writing, or internal accelerators
