Texas Instruments is seeking a Solutions Architect with strong expertise in Siemens Plant Simulation (PlantSIM). The candidate will be responsible for building, analyzing, and optimizing manufacturing and supply chain simulation models to drive efficiency, productivity, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Develop, validate, and maintain discrete event simulation models using PlantSIM for manufacturing plants and supply chain processes.
- Execute end-to-end simulation projects — from requirement gathering, scoping, model building, validation, to insights presentation.
- Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements in production lines, logistics, and supply chain networks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, supply chain, IT, operations excellence) to integrate simulation insights into decision-making.
- Support digital twin initiatives by linking PlantSIM models with real-time data sources.
- Document model assumptions, results, and recommendations in a structured manner for stakeholders.
- Provide training and knowledge sharing on PlantSIM usage within the organization.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Siemens Plant Simulation (PlantSIM), with proven track record of executing projects.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain concepts, and production planning.
- Experience in discrete event simulation, operations research, and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting within PlantSIM (SimTalk).
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with digital twin implementations and integration with ERP/MES systems
- Knowledge of data analytics tools (Python, SQL, Visualisation tools, etc.) is an added advantage.
