The impact of the role:
The Solutions Architect will be a critical team member of the Engineering Department working within cross-functional teams, collaborating with Mobility Strategists, Software Engineers & Product Managers to deliver innovative solutions.
Together with your peers you will be defining, designing and implementing the future connected services for one of the largest OEMs in the world, being able to see the result of your work driving down the road!
On a given day, a Solutions Architect will:
- Lead system architecture discussions, collaborate with stakeholders and identify how technology can support business goals.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to determine functional and non-functional requirements.
- Identify and help define common technology enablers across various departments of large organizations.
- Ensure client requirements are captured, understood, and considered by technical teams and other internal divisions.
- Support high-level technical service design during the business ideation phase.
- Advise on system and data correlation activities to enable integrated cross-area services.
- Document architectural decisions and represent system designs using clear modeling methodologies.
- Propose recommendations and improvements on Digital Strategy & Technology.
- Participate in and support company business growth activities.
In order to be successful in this role you will need:
- BSc in Information Technology or Computer Science or in any relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering and system architecture design.
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering or DevOps Engineering.
- Experience designing solutions for Cloud Platforms & Data Platforms.
- Experience with at least one of the major cloud services provider (AWS -strong preference-, Azure, GCP).
- In-depth understanding of the business drivers for digital transformation.
- Knowledge of emerging computing trends and ability to assess their impact on partner opportunities.
- Experience working in agile teams is highly valued.
- Fluent English required for engaging with colleagues and clients worldwide.
Please note that this position will require business travels to Belgium, Brussels.
