Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor), an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA, is seeking a Solutions Architect. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in the McLean area.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Report directly to a corporate executive and provide technology support through written, oral, and hands-on technology contributions.
- Gain a deep understanding of each client's business needs and architect comprehensive solutions that address their challenges.
- Support the development of proposals in response to RFIs/RFPs and participate in new business opportunities.
- Apply knowledge of the Shipley process to enhance capture and proposal development efforts.
- Support delivery management, relationship building, business growth aspects, program support, and customer satisfaction
- Lead technical discussions and presentations demonstrating deep expertise in areas such as IT Operations & Maintenance, networking and telecommunication, complex systems development, operation and maintenance.
- Assist the growth of Astor’s capabilities and collaborating with our team of highly talented managers and technical staff
- Provide hands-on technology support to build out Proof of Concepts within our Test Lab environment
- Continuously evaluate existing and emerging technologies options best fitting business and IT strategic needs for our federal clients.
- Create and present high-quality pre-sales materials, such as solution designs, capability, white papers, and other technology present to clients
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of specific experience as a Solutions Architect (or IT Engineering role) supporting IT, system or software development, data / analytics, or cybersecurity related programs in support of the Federal Government
- 5+ years experience writing Technical Volume proposal content, across various technology areas that are compliant, compelling, and meets RFP requirements
- 3+ years’ experience working in an environment following Shipley practices for Business Development, Capture, and Proposal Management
- Excellent written and oral communications skills (e.g., ability to generate and present briefings on corporate capabilities to key stakeholders, write proposals, articulate technology solutions, etc.)
- Working knowledge of all facets of information technology specifically in software development, data services, operation and maintenance including:
- Networking, IT infrastructure, IT O&M
- Telecommunication
- Cybersecurity
- Cloud architecture, migration and management; and hybrid cloud environments
- Data lifecycle, big data and data management, AI/ML and big data analytics
