There are 100+ integrations with downstream enterprise systems (ERP, payroll, security, etc.). It is a global team with a 40/60 split between the UK and Bangalore. As the Solution Architect you will be expected to understand people processes, HR technology, and data flows alongside understanding how Workday interacts with wider enterprise platforms (ERP, security, payroll).
You will be liasing with senior stakeholders such as directors and group directors so strong stakeholder management and clear communication should be your superpower alongside crafting North Star visions, and shaping business aligned solutions.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Defining and maintaining information models that describe HR problem spaces, data domains, and relationships across systems, driving consistency and reuse across programmes and initiatives.

Designing and directly building Workday Extend applications, leveraging platform capabilities — including AI and ML features — to deliver intelligent and personalised employee experiences.
Championing AI adoption across the People Engineering landscape, identifying opportunities to embed automation, predictive insights, and conversational interfaces within Workday and adjacent platforms.
Collaborating with enterprise AI, data, and integration teams to design new AI-enabled solutionsusing shared platforms such as Azure and Snowflake, ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategy and governance.
Architect seamless integrations between Workday and peripheral systems such as ServiceNow, Oracle ERP, payroll providers, and benefits platforms — ensuring end-to-end data integrity and user experience.
Providing architectural oversight for vendor selection, integration strategy, scalability, security, and compliance across SaaS, PaaS, and on-prem environments.
Guiding and mentoring delivery teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles, design standards, and best practices through all stages of solution delivery.
Continuously evaluating emerging Workday and HR tech capabilities, advising on opportunities to modernise the HR landscape and enhance the employee and manager experience.
Engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across HR, Technology, and Business functions, building alignment on enterprise problem statements, priorities, and technical direction.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Solutioning experience with Workday Extend, including designing, building, or governing extensions and leveraging its AI/ML capabilities.
Strong grounding in Workday integration technologies (e.g., Workday Studio, EIB, APIs, and Workday Prism) and experience architecting complex data flows across enterprise systems.
Experience designing interoperable solutions across Workday and key platforms such as ServiceNow, Snowflake, Oracle ERP, payroll, and benefits systems.
Proficiency in data and information modelling, with the ability to define and communicate logical and physical data models across systems.

Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams, fostering architectural excellence and cross-functional collaboration.
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence senior technology and business leaders.
Experience working within enterprise architecture frameworks, ensuring alignment with digital blueprints, governance standards, and data strategies.
