Because Innovation Matters. THE ROLE To hold the firm's solution architecture authority and its major pursuit pre-sales accountability in one person. Every engagement receives an architecture decision and every significant pursuit gets shaped; this role is how both happen at current scale. WHAT YOU WILL DO - Own solution architecture authority across all engagements: design review and sign-off, architecture decisions, build-versus-buy calls, and the architecture escalation point named in the delivery specifications. - Lead pre-sales on major pursuits: solution shaping, demonstrations and proofs of concept, estimation sign-off, and the solution content in proposals. - Review routine demonstrations and estimation produced by Zoho Consultants, which remain their responsibility under your review. - Brief and review heavy custom build carried out by the Zoho Developer and Software Developer. This role briefs and reviews; it does not build. - Apply claims discipline to all pre-sales output. No quantified benefit claim goes to a client without verified case data in the Claims Substantiation Register. - Maintain the firm's reference architectures, integration patterns, and security baselines. - Help build the target structure this role converts into as dedicated appointments are made. WHAT YOU NEED - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field. - Substantial solution architecture experience across SaaS platforms, custom development, and integration, with a track record of designs that were built and ran in production. - Demonstrable pre-sales experience: solution shaping, executive-level demonstrations, effort estimation, and proposal authorship on significant pursuits. - Deep Zoho One expertise, or equivalent enterprise platform depth with the appetite to acquire it quickly. - Experience leading the technical conversation with senior client stakeholders in a consulting or partner environment. - Working knowledge of POPIA-aligned data design and of production AI architecture patterns is an advantage. WHERE THE BOUNDARIES SIT Delivery governance remains with delivery leadership. Architecture authority is not delivery authority. HOW THIS ROLE EVOLVES This role exists because Centrax is growing into its target structure. Centrax is concurrently advertising Solution Architect (JS02) and Pre-Sales Consultant (JS12) as dedicated positions. As those appointments are made, this role transitions toward the position that fits your strength: Solution Architect, Pre-Sales Consultant, Practice Lead, or Engagement Lead. Candidates who apply for the specialist roles may also be considered for this one, and the reverse. The transition path is written into the role rather than left to chance. WORKING ARRANGEMENTS Standard working hours of 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, with flexibility around pursuit deadlines and critical engagement milestones. Hybrid working in line with company policy. Travel to client sites is part of the role. Standard 21 days annual leave and BCEA leave entitlements apply.
