The Solutions Account Executive has the ability to develop excellent client relationships and earn their trust though superior problem solving and drive for results. A successful SAE will be a results-focused individual who can create and manage strategy around target opportunities, sales pipeline, and closing business.
The SAE must have excellent knowledge of material handling technologies and how to apply them to improve a customer’s processes and operations. They develop system proposals that provide our clients a competitive advantage in their markets, demonstrate solution knowledge through successful client presentations, and lead the Solution Development Team to ensure a superior solution is offered to clients.
Job Functions
- Ability to develop excellent client relationships and earn their trust though superior problem solving and drive for results
- Close major system sales through a “top down” consultative selling approach. Provide best solution options for the customer needs.
- Strong consulting and engineering understanding demonstrated through leading detailed designs, iterations and summary data analysis results.
- Develop system proposals that provide our clients a competitive advantage in their markets.
- Demonstrate solution knowledge through successful client presentations
- Creative engineering (information and material flow) and innovative operational solutions.
Travel Requirements
- 25% overnight travel (Travel expenses paid by Bastian Solutions)
Preferred Skills and Required Qualifications
- Ability to complete training for SAE I role in 9-12 months
- Marketing and brand awareness with prospects and existing customers
- Attending trainings and learning about suppliers
- Begin quoting simple to moderate complexity solutions
- Assisting on moderate and high complexity solutions
- Supervised opportunity development
- Ability to sell projects above $10M with traditional material handling equipment or a single advanced technology with oversight
- Basic level of knowledge of the Bastian Solutions scope of supply and capabilities
