Role Value Proposition:
This role is for Solution Train Engineer (STE) for Data Migrations Solutions.
The STE guides the scrum teams to manage and optimize the flow of value for its customers. As a Solution Train Engineer (STE) for our Data Migration Initiative, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating and driving the rationalization, simplification, and modernization of our data ecosystem. Key focus includes improving execution processes, getting rid of impediments, challenging people, and teams to consistently improve, and creating connections between people. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, architects, data scientists, cloud architects, product owners, and business stakeholders, to ensure the successful execution of this initiative while adhering to industry best practices and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all deliverables are aligned with the organization's goals and objectives for data modernization while actively being a part of the migration strategy and roadmap development.
  • Manage the end-to-end migration program, including planning, execution, and monitoring of key milestones and deliverables in the context of the broader program.
  • Foster collaboration and communication across cross-functional teams involved in the migration effort, including data engineering, platforms, cloud infrastructure, technology, and business.
  • Act as a liaison between the program and all stakeholders, with regular updates on project progress, risks, and dependencies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and dependencies that may impact the migration timeline or success, proactively addressing challenges as they arise.
  • Ensure resource allocation and capacity planning are done and budgets are aligned accordingly.
  • Ensure DG/DQ standards are implemented and adhered to in the pipelines and throughout the process.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize migration processes, enhance efficiency, and minimize disruption to business operations.
  • Understand where matters must be negotiated to achieve an agreement that is aligned to outcomes.
  • Strive to serve the team in everything they need to do to accomplish the goal, putting the needs of the team first.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:

  • 10+ years of Experience in Technology and Data.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale transformational initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of insurance industry practices, with previous experience in Group Benefits Insurance.
  • Experience working with offshore teams and driving results.
  • Experience with data migration initiatives, preferably to cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • The ability to switch from reviewing yesterday, running today, and planning for tomorrow.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Good understanding of data management principles, including data governance, data modeling, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud engineering.


Preferred:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe® Agilist certification is a plus.
