What you’ll do 

As a Solution Designer in Technology Architecture Practice at Accenture, you will be joining a team of passionate and experienced architects and designers. You will be responsible for designing application building blocks and IT solutions that address business needs with performance, resilience, and scalability. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about architecture and is eager to grow into a Solution Architect role.

Key responsibilities

Therefore, the high-level responsibilities of the solution designer include:

  • Collaborating with technical leads, product owners, and architects to co-create detailed design documentation that meet functional and non-functional requirements and fit within the client’s overall technology strategy
  • Collaborating with developers and testers to ensure solution designs understood and prepped for delivery, with a willingness to oversee and quality-assure code development as necessary
  • Working closely with IT security to enable privacy by design and ensure alignment with client security practices
  • Communicating design status, blockers, and opportunities to your lead
  • Development of proof-of-concept (POC) prototypes to validate solution approaches, prepare Point of Views to assess technical feasibility, and support architectural decision-making across application and integration layers (optional)            

Here’s what you need

  • 5+ years of experience as a Solution Designer or Full-Stack Developer, with a strong background in designing and developing business applications throughout the software development lifecycle using open-source technology stack
  • Experience in designing and developing applications using open-source technology stacks across Frontend, Backend, Database, and Integration layers.
  • Experience with some of modern engineering best practices: Domain-Driven Design (DDD), API-led, event-driven architecture, XaaS, containerization, databases, cloud-native & serverless technologies
  • Certification in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) or architecture methodologies (TOGAF, Zachman or similar) though it’s not a requirement, would be an advantage.
  • Strong intention to learn new technologies, be passionate about staying at the forefront of modern solution design patterns, and actively follow industry trends and emerging practices
  • Strong effective communication skills with solid interpersonal and analytical decision-making
  • Ability to convey information to non-technical colleagues (product owners, IT management) in a concise and clear way
  • A logical approach to problem solving and complexity disaggregation, tenacity, and patience along with high attention to detail
  • You must also have the right to work in Australia
