Job Description
i360technologies, Inc. is seeking a dual-role professional with expertise in Microsoft Azure Synapse and strong project management experience to support this project. This position will lead reporting projects from planning through deployment while providing technical guidance on data modeling, integration, and Power BI report development within the Azure Synapse ecosystem.
Project Management Duties:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client leadership and business units regarding report development initiatives.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of reporting tasks, including timelines, resource assignments, and stakeholder engagement.
- Facilitate bi-weekly status meetings and prepare regular project updates and deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with reporting requirements, deliverables schedule, and contract scope.
- Track progress in ServiceNow, ensure timely responses to task assignments, and coordinate with management on prioritization.
- Develop and deliver a Quality Control Plan (QCP) and Contingency Planning and Preparedness Plan.
Azure Synapse Technical Duties:
- Provide subject matter expertise in Azure Synapse, including data pipeline development, semantic modeling, and integration with Power BI. Coordinate data synchronization from source systems (e.g., Oracle Federal Financials, EFI Pace) to Azure Synapse Data Lake. Guide report developers on how to leverage semantic models for business reporting needs. Proactively troubleshoot data and performance issues within the Azure reporting environment. Support the client’s strategic migration from Business Objects to Power BI through technical leadership and environment readiness.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of IT project management experience, ideally supporting reporting or data analytics projects.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Synapse or similar cloud-based data platforms.
- Five years or more of experience on projects that are similar to the requirements (reports development and maintenance).
- Strong knowledge of data architecture, ETL pipelines, and enterprise reporting tools.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP or similar project management certification.
- Experience working in federal IT environments, particularly legislative agencies.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow for task tracking and reporting.
- Knowledge of Oracle database systems and integration with Azure services.
