Currently, for our Pre-sales Team, we are looking for you as a Solution Architect (m/w).
In this role you will be responsible for designing and articulating end-to-end solutions that address customer business requirements while aligning with product capabilities and delivery feasibility. This role combines technical architecture, business process understanding, and value storytelling to support complex sales opportunities.
As Solution Architect you act as the bridge between customer and partner needs, sales strategy, product roadmap, and implementation reality, ensuring solutions are compelling, viable, and differentiated.
Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with sales leadership on deal strategy, win themes and competitive positioning
- Conduct deep discovery sessions to understand business processes, pain points, KPIs and desired outcomes of customers
- Engage with both business and technical stakeholders (IT, operations, finance, etc.)
- Translate customer requirements into scalable, modular, and feasible solution designs
- Challenge and refine customer requirements to ensure solution clarity and value focus
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, scope gaps and integration complexities and define assumptions, dependencies, and constraints clearly
- Connect solution design to business outcomes and measurable value
- Support or lead business case development, ROI / TCO modeling
- Ensure the solution narrative answers: Why change? Why now? Why this solution?
- Build exemplary demo scenarios for various business processes such as sales, purchasing, condition management and master data management
- Define functional architecture, technical architecture, integration landscape as well as data flow and governance
- Contribute to and leverage reference architectures, demo scenarios and industry solution templates
- Ensure alignment with product capabilities, roadmap, and best practices
- Lead the design of end-to-end solution architectures across applications, data, integrations, and processes
- Support RFP/RFI responses with structured, high-quality input
- Contribute deep solution expertise during proof-of-concepts and prototypes for customers
- Align early with delivery teams to ensure smooth transition post-sale
- Drive standardization and reuse without compromising deal specificity
- Train Vistex partners how to sell Vistex solution extensions and to perform pre-sales activities
- Monitor the implementation of software projects conducted by Vistex partners
- Adapt the processes in the Solution Extensions for focus industries such as retail, pharmaceuticals or consumer goods
- Facilitate the launch and go-to-market positioning of new Vistex solutions
- Present Vistex solutions at selected trade fairs and events
- Contribute to executive presentations, solution workshops and product demonstrations

Qualifications Education Required Bachelors or better. Experience Required Professional experience in the IT environment, ideally in the field of IT consulting Enthusiasm, strong technical knowledge and economic understanding Independent, result-oriented way of working and strong problem-solving skills Experience in technical pre-sales is an advantage Very good written and spoken English, other foreign languages are an advantage
