In Ireland, we are the national sales company of six brands - Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, SEAT, CUPRA and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. Our combined share of the Irish automotive market is 25%.

In Ireland, we are the national sales company of six brands - Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, SEAT, CUPRA and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. Our combined share of the Irish automotive market is 25%. 

We are looking for an Solution Architect who will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative IT solutions to meet the business needs and objectives of our organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for several key tasks including but not limited to the following:

Solution Design and Documentation:

  • Design end-to-end IT solutions that align with business and technical requirements.
  • Develop architectural blueprints and solution designs using best practices.
  • Lead the design and development of prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate proposed solutions.
  • Define and document the data flows and integration points across systems.
  • Define and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and governance processes.
  • Create technical specifications and documentation such as the below documents:
    • Solution Architecture Definition (S-AD)
    • Interface and Data Design (IDD)
    • System Requirements Document (SRD)
    • Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs)
    • Technical Architecture Diagrams

 Solution Implementation and Integration:

  • Oversee the implementation of architectural designs by development teams.
  • Ensure that solutions are implemented according to specifications, standards, and best practices.
  • Coordinate with various project teams to ensure proper deployment and integration of solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during implementation or integration.
  • Manage of all inbound/outbound feeds across the key systems.

 Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

  • Engage with business and project team stakeholders to understand their requirements, priorities, and constraints.
  • Present architectural designs and proposals to stakeholders and facilitate discussions and workshops to gather feedback.
  • Communicate technical concepts and recommendations in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or a related field.
  • Min. 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect or similar role
  • Strong technical background with expertise in architecture design, software development.
  • Experience designing and implementing complex IT solutions and integrations across several systems.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve complex testing challenges.
  • Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Strong documentation skills in all architecture documents.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, motivated and pro-active in their role.
