We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with strong Banking and Financial Services domain expertise to lead technical discovery, architecture design, impact assessment, and delivery planning for complex technology initiatives.

This is a hands-on architecture role requiring the ability to assess requirements across multiple applications, APIs, data flows, infrastructure, security, and integration layers. You will translate business requirements into practical, scalable, and delivery-ready technical solutions while identifying risks, dependencies, and architectural impacts early in the process.

The ideal candidate combines strong enterprise architecture expertise with a deep understanding of banking technology and can confidently facilitate technical decisions across business, engineering, security, infrastructure, and architecture teams.

Technical Discovery & Impact Assessment

• Conduct deep-dive technical analysis of new requirements across impacted systems, platforms, and integration layers
• Assess architectural impacts across applications, APIs, data flows, security, infrastructure, and downstream dependencies
• Identify technical constraints, risks, assumptions, and dependencies that could affect scope, estimates, or delivery timelines
• Manage parallel analysis across multiple architecture domains to complete discovery within agreed timelines

Solution Architecture & Design

• Define target solution architectures aligned with business requirements, enterprise standards, and delivery objectives
• Develop high-level and detailed solution designs covering application, integration, data, infrastructure, and security considerations
• Evaluate architecture options based on feasibility, scalability, complexity, cost, and delivery risk
• Produce architecture designs that can be translated into clear and executable delivery scope

Integration & API Design

• Define end-to-end integration approaches across internal, external, and third-party systems
• Identify APIs, message flows, interfaces, data exchange patterns, dependencies, and integration touchpoints
• Support API specifications, integration patterns, data mapping, and non-functional requirements
• Ensure solutions address reliability, security, performance, monitoring, resilience, and operational support requirements

Estimation & Delivery Planning

• Provide architecture-driven inputs for technical estimates, delivery sequencing, and implementation planning
• Break technical scope into logical work packages to support squad sizing and delivery mobilization
• Identify technical prerequisites, architecture dependencies, and sequencing requirements
• Support governance and approval documentation required for internal processes

Architecture Governance & Approval

• Prepare architecture artifacts required for technical review, governance, and approval
• Present architecture recommendations, solution options, risks, assumptions, and trade-offs to stakeholders
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles, security standards, compliance requirements, and technology governance
• Facilitate technical decisions and help resolve architecture blockers throughout discovery and planning

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or Technical Solution Design
• Proven experience within banking, payments, cards, digital banking platforms, or financial services technology
• Experience designing solutions involving APIs, middleware, enterprise applications, data flows, and third-party integrations
• Demonstrated ability to assess architectural impacts across multiple systems and platforms
• Experience supporting technical estimation, delivery planning, architecture governance, and execution readiness
• Experience working with complex enterprise environments involving multiple technical and business stakeholders

• Technical facilitation: Leads discovery sessions and drives teams toward clear architecture decisions
• Parallel execution: Comfortable managing multiple architecture workstreams and dependencies simultaneously
• Risk management: Identifies technical risks and constraints before they become delivery blockers
• Delivery mindset: Designs solutions that are not only technically sound but also executable by engineering teams

Success in this role means delivering a complete architecture impact assessment across affected systems and integrations, securing approval for the proposed solution architecture within the discovery timeline, and providing clear technical estimates, assumptions, dependencies, and sequencing for implementation.

The Solution Architect should identify architectural risks early and ensure the delivery team can mobilize with an approved, practical, and executable technical blueprint.
