Our financial-services work includes secure platforms and technology delivery supporting banking, payments, digital channels, integration, data, and financial operations. ## Job Title Solution Architect ## Location Cairo, Egypt (hybrid/work-from-office supported; international collaboration as needed) ## Years of Experience 10+ years (with hands-on architecture and delivery leadership) ## Job Description As a Solution Architect at ITGoals, you will define secure, scalable, and supportable end-to-end architectures across enterprise applications, integrations, workflows, digital channels, and core-banking domains. You will translate business needs into implementable technology designs, guide delivery teams, and collaborate with business, security, infrastructure, and engineering stakeholders to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and digital-transformation objectives. ## Key Responsibilities * Design application architectures using appropriate enterprise architecture patterns and provide practical guidance to delivery teams. * Define integration architecture and select suitable integration patterns for synchronous, asynchronous, API-led, and workflow-driven interactions. * Design APIs in line with OpenAPI standards and establish clear contracts, security controls, ownership, and integration boundaries. * Define modern security patterns across application, API, integration, and infrastructure layers for both internal and external exposure. * Design end-to-end solutions across lending, payments, channels, core banking, and adjacent enterprise capabilities where required. * Provide architecture direction for API management, with IBM API Connect preferred, including exposure, policy, governance, and lifecycle considerations. * Design microservice-based solutions, with Spring Boot preferred, ensuring appropriate service boundaries, resilience, observability, and maintainability. * Design workflow and process-automation solutions, with Camunda 8 preferred, aligned to business processes and integration requirements. * Define container and platform architecture using OpenShift and related containerization patterns. * Apply OAuth 2.0 and related security controls across APIs and application components. * Work closely with business, security, infrastructure, engineering, integration, and delivery teams to translate needs into secure and scalable architectures. * Review solution designs and implementation decisions to ensure alignment with enterprise standards, target architecture, and digital-transformation objectives. * Identify architecture risks, non-functional requirements, dependencies, and trade-offs early and document decisions clearly. ## Required Experience * Proven experience in application architecture with hands-on understanding of enterprise application delivery. * Strong experience in integration architecture, integration patterns, and API design using OpenAPI standards. * Solid understanding of modern security patterns for application and integration components. * Experience designing end-to-end solutions across multiple technology layers and business domains. * Ability to influence implementation teams and communicate architecture decisions to technical and business stakeholders. ## Required Skills * Application and enterprise solution architecture * Integration architecture and integration patterns * API design and OpenAPI standards * IBM API Connect or comparable API management * Microservices architecture; Spring Boot preferred * Camunda 8 / workflow architecture * OAuth 2.0 and modern application security controls * OpenShift and container architecture * Non-functional requirements, resilience, scalability, and observability * Architecture documentation and stakeholder communication ## Banking / Fintech & Nice to Have * Banking, fintech, payments, lending, digital channels, core banking, or other regulated financial-services architecture experience is a strong advantage. * Experience governing architecture across multiple squads or delivery partners. * Knowledge of event-driven architecture, messaging, and distributed systems. * Cloud architecture and DevSecOps experience. ## What Success Looks Like * Can move from business requirement to implementable end-to-end architecture without over-engineering. * Makes security, resilience, scalability, and operability explicit design concerns. * Provides clear technical direction while remaining pragmatic about delivery constraints. ## ITGOALS Offers * Enterprise-scale assignments where engineering quality, security, resilience, and delivery discipline matter. * Structured ITGoals recruitment, onboarding, delivery governance, and clear professional ownership throughout the engagement. * Collaboration with experienced engineers, architects, QA professionals, delivery leaders, and business stakeholders. * Exposure to complex digital-transformation environments and the opportunity to deepen banking, fintech, payments, and regulated-enterprise experience. * Opportunities to contribute to long-term enterprise delivery programs based on performance, business demand, and role fit. ## Application Instructions Share an updated CV with the ITGoals recruitment team, highlighting the experience most relevant to this role, particularly enterprise delivery, banking / fintech exposure where applicable, and the technologies listed above.
