Role Overview:

As a Solution Architect, you will play a critical role in delivering advanced Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) solutions for a leading Automotive OEM within a Google Cloud environment. This role focuses on designing the next-generation observability architecture, leading the migration from legacy platforms to modern observability solutions, and implementing improvements directly within the Google Cloud platform. You will leverage your expertise in SRE, Google Cloud, and observability tools like Dynatrace to drive the success of our client’s initiatives, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. Reporting to the Service Area Lead within Solution Engineering, this role is primarily focused on client engagement, technical leadership, and hands-on implementation, with a mix of billable client work and strategic internal contributions.

Client Engagement and Solution Design:

* Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand their needs, focusing on supporting and enhancing the current observability platform while designing and architecting the next-generation observability solutions within a Google Cloud environment.

* Participate in the architectural design of robust, scalable, and secure observability platforms, utilizing multiple solutions including Google Cloud’s capabilities to ensure comprehensive monitoring and reliability.

* Engage directly with internal stakeholders to support existing users of the Google Cloud platform and application portfolio, optimizing and maintaining the observability infrastructure.

Migration and Platform Transformation:

* Contribute solution guidance for migration from legacy observability platforms to new, state-of-the-art solutions using Dynatrace, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

* Develop and execute migration strategies that enhance observability, monitoring, and incident response capabilities across the organization’s cloud and on-premise environments.

* Participate in the deployment of modern observability tools and processes, ensuring they are fully integrated with existing Google Cloud and on-premise systems.

Hands-On Implementation and Continuous Improvement:

* Lead and actively participate in the implementation of enhancements within the current observability platform, driving automation, efficiency, capability, and accessibility.

* Identify and recommend opportunities for process automation and infrastructure optimization to improve performance, reduce latency, and enhance scalability.

* Lead and actively participate in the development of scripts, automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines to enhance monitoring of cloud and application resources.

Technical Leadership and Collaboration:

* Provide hands-on technical leadership in the application of SRE best practices, guiding engineering teams through complex problem-solving and optimization tasks.

* Mentor team members and encourage a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and innovation within the SRE and Cloud Engineering practices.

* Work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient systems using cloud-native principles.

Strategic Partnership and Account Management:

* Serve as a trusted advisor to the client, providing expert guidance on cloud strategy, SRE best practices, and the adoption of new technologies.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the client organization, driving alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.

Leadership and Internal Contribution:

* Contribute to Gorilla Logic’s internal initiatives, including capability development, knowledge sharing, and the advancement of best practices in SRE and cloud architecture.

* Support business development efforts by showcasing Gorilla Logic’s capabilities in delivering robust cloud solutions and SRE services during client presentations and proposals.

* 7+ years of professional experience in software development, cloud architecture, or DevOps and site reliability engineering, focusing on automation, infrastructure as code, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.

* 3+ years of experience in programming in languages such as Python, Go, Java, or similar, with a deep understanding of systems architecture and cloud-native development.

* At least 4 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), focusing on designing and managing large-scale, cloud-native architectures.

* Proven expertise in Site Reliability Engineering, including experience with designing observability solutions, monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Prometheus, and incident management.

* Experience leading platform migration initiatives, specifically transitioning from legacy to modern observability solutions using tools like Dynatrace.

* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.

* Proven ability to engage directly with clients and internal customers to provide tailored cloud solutions that meet their specific needs.

* Highest level of English proficiency, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

* Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and driving innovation.
