Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly skilled Solution Architect specializing in data migration to join our team for a nearshoring opportunity with a leading telco in Sweden. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing data migration solutions, with a strong understanding of architectural principles, database technologies, and cloud platforms.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the design and architecture of the data migration solution, considering scalability, performance, security, and compliance requirements.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop architectural blueprints and technical design documentation.
3. Evaluate existing systems and data sources to assess compatibility, data quality, and readiness for migration.
4. Define migration patterns and best practices for handling different types of data, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
5. Provide guidance on technology selection, tooling, and automation to streamline the migration process.
6. Conduct performance testing, validation, and optimization of migration workflows to ensure data integrity.
7. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data migration, database management, and cloud computing.
7. Work closely with Data Engineers, Developers, and other cross-functional teams to implement migration solutions and resolve technical challenges.
8. Provide guidance and recommendations on technology selection, tooling, and automation to streamline the migration process and minimize downtime.
9. Conduct performance testing, validation, and optimization of migration workflows to ensure data integrity and minimize disruption to business operations.
10. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data migration, database management, and cloud computing.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as a Solution Architect, specializing in data migration.
Deep understanding of database technologies, data integration patterns, and ETL tools.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Leadership abilities, with experience in leading cross-functional teams, facilitating workshops, and driving consensus on technical decisions.
Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices, including continuous integration, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards, with a focus on ensuring data privacy and regulatory compliance throughout the migration process.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of accountability and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
