Coast (“Coast” or the “Company”) is a rapidly growing commercial and industrial (“C&I”) solar energy firm. By offering innovative systems which provide dependable solar energy to commercial businesses, Coast is disrupting the way commercial building owners purchase electricity.

Through the backing of its financial sponsor, Crosstimbers Capital Group, Coast expects to finance, develop, own, and operate $400+ million of commercial solar and energy storage projects across the United States over the next several years. Coast owns the solar systems installed on the roofs of commercial buildings and sells solar electricity to building owners at a rate typically less than their current electricity provider. We are looking for talented, results-oriented, self-starters who will consistently deliver exceptional results to our customers and investors in pursuit of becoming the leading C&I solar provider in the United States.

We believe people should feel appreciated and part of a broader—mission-based organization—where their experience and talents are nurtured, and their full potential is realized. Coast seeks to cultivate a culture that enables talented individuals to thrive by autonomously utilizing their unique abilities and extraordinary work ethic within a highly collaborative environment that fosters innovation, creativity, and teamwork. We view it as one of our greatest responsibilities to enable, lead, and help individuals grow into their best versions. Our team shares a common vision of becoming the best version of ourselves and building the best company we can create while transitioning our country to clean, renewable energy.

Coast has identified the need for an Origination Analyst to spearhead our commercial real estate (CRE) lead origination and generation efforts and enhance our portfolio of solar projects. This role will play a pivotal part in souring new CRE owners, managing Coast’s CRE network, and conducting analysis on potential CRE portfolios. This person will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, to drive business development initiatives and streamline origination processes. Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze potential CRE portfolios and properties for solar, energy storage and EV Charging viability
  • Manage and track CRE leads effectively, ensuring timely follow-ups and reporting
  • Conduct thorough research on commercial real estate (CRE) databases to identify potential CRE owners and portfolios for solar, energy storage and EV Charging opportunities
  • Update and maintain sales collateral and proposals, ensuring they reflect accurate and compelling information
  • Act as liaison between internal and external stakeholders, facilitating communication and project updates
  • Provide monthly reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in planning CRE networking events and outreach opportunities
  • Assist in the development of strategies to source new CRE properties and portfolios
  • Assist in ensuring lead, project and CRE owner records are maintained with updated information on Coast’s CRM and development management software
  • Generally, assist the Coast direct-to-CRE team

  • 1-3 years of experience in the solar industry; commercial and industry (C&I) preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort with engaging internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized individual
  • Innovative and organized self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
  • Energetic and driven personality who thrives in a high-paced, dynamic, small-company environment
  • Experience with or exposure to commercial real estate preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related preferred
  • Must be located in, or willing to relocate to the LA/El Segundo, CA area
