What You’ll DoAs a key member of our virtualization team, you’ll design, build, and maintain virtualized mission applications that support intelligence operations around the world. Your day-to-day will include:
Developing and packaging virtualized mission applications for both VDI sessions and thick clients
Collaborating with testers and mission SMEs to validate application behavior and optimize performance
Streamlining the application sequencing process and identifying automation opportunities
Enhancing backup, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations for critical systems
Working hands-on with VMware SDDC products to troubleshoot, optimize, and secure virtualization infrastructure
Ensuring application configurations and user settings persist seamlessly in non-persistent environments
Contributing to technical documentation, test plans, and implementation guides to keep teams aligned and informed
Supporting incident resolution and software requests in a fast-paced, high-impact environment
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in Systems Administration or Virtualization
(Equivalent education, training, or experience accepted in lieu of a degree)
8140.01M IAT Level II certification
3+ years with VDI technologies (e.g., VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Microsoft RDS)
2+ years with application virtualization tools (e.g., Citrix XenApp, App-V, FlexApp, App Volumes)
Deep knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Windows Server (2012+) environments
Proficiency in PowerShell or other automation/scripting tools
Experience with non-persistent desktops and profile management tools (VMware DEM, ProfileUnity, etc.)
Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and ITIL frameworks
Understanding of application load balancing and architectural design principles
Experience creating technical documentation and architecture diagrams
Certifications such as VMware Certified Associate – Data Center Virtualization (VCA-DCV) a plus
Knowledge of ticketing systems like Service+, ServiceNow, or Remedy

- Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $145-155k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
