About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Software Unit Test Engineer to join our team and contribute to developing and validating Base Software Application. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of automotive software components by designing, implementing, and executing unit tests. Your expertise in automotive software testing, knowledge of embedded systems, and familiarity with relevant automotive standards will be instrumental in delivering high-quality products
Your Responsibilities
Unit Test Design and Implementation:

  • Develop and execute unit tests for automotive software using VectorCAST.
  • Create test plans and test cases based on software requirements and design specifications.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to unit test coverage and performance.


Software Testing and Validation:
Collaborate with software developers and other engineers to understand system requirements and software architecture. Conduct thorough analysis of test results and report on software quality.

  • Implement and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • Static code analysis using Polyspace.
  • Interpreting Polyspace Results: Understanding different types of diagnostic messages and their significance.
  • Customizing Checks: Configuring Polyspace to enforce specific coding standards and guidelines relevant to Automotive industry requirements.


Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document test cases, test plan, results, and defect reports clearly and accurately.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on test progress and software quality metrics.


Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in automotive software testing, especially with unit testing for embedded systems.


Your preferred qualifications

  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) and scripting languages
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Polyspace , VectorCAST).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins).
  • Knowledge of automotive standards (ISO 26262, AUTOSAR) and safety-critical software development.
