Software Test Engineer Lead
TQI Solutions is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Test Engineer Lead to join our team in Norfolk, VA. This individual will provide testing expertise in support of complex software and hardware applications and play a key role in ensuring quality and functionality across the Software Development Life Cycle. This is a full-time onsite role requiring an Active Secret Clearance.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership in all phases of risk management and software/hardware development, focusing on analysis of user requirements, test design, and test tools selection.
• Ensure that testing designs and documentation align with client, agency, or industry standards, timelines, and budgets.
• Oversee testing conclusions and recommendations, ensuring they are supported by results.
• Keep project managers informed of testing status and any deviations from documented user requirements.
• Lead and conduct root cause analysis of software and hardware issues.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, and audits of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including:
- Risk Management
- Configuration Management
- RMF Controls
- Environments
- Documentation
- Schedule management
- Program Management
- Development and operation of 30+ applications
- Support for installation and operations center management
This is a full time, salaried, exempt position.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Extensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with multiple levels of testing, including Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and Development Integration Testing (DIT).
• Familiarity with documentation requirements such as test policies, plans, procedures, System Verification Documents (SVDs), and System Design Verifications (SDVs).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or related scientific/technical field.
• Must currently possess and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
• Experience with Agile Development methodologies.
• Knowledge of or experience with Automated Testing Tools.
The incumbent of this position will be subject to a background investigation and will be required to maintain a Government granted security clearance.
