Job Description (Senior) ·
- The Senior Engineer is responsible for deployment automation for deploying enterprise software on public cloud providers. ·
- Employees at this level are helping to advance and modernize PTC's cloud competencies.
- A well-rounded technical/functional skill set, and deep knowledge of public and private cloud capabilities are ideal for this position.
Responsibilities: ·
- Leverage experience to make recommendations on how to implement products in the cloud (private and public) ·
- Build Deployment Automation to realize the chosen architecture. · Continuously improve the teams cloud capabilities in the areas of deployment automation, monitoring, log management, etc. ·
- Develop training and handoff material for supporting cloud functions (NOC, Incident Management, Sales, etc.) ·
- Work with R&D to develop standards for cloud readiness and product handoff procedures ·
- Collaborate with portfolio team to bring new capabilities to the cloud offerings.

- Ability to understand and build high level cloud architectures. ·
- Willingness to learn and experiment with cutting edge cloud technologies.
Preferred Experience with following technologies: ·
- Basic command line Linux Skills ·
- Object Oriented Programming (Java, Python, Ruby, C#) ·
- Kubernetes · Serverless Technologies (such as AWS Lambda's) ·
- Single Sign On (PingFederate (preferred). ·
- Public Cloud providers (Azure and/or AWS). ·
- Deployment technologies: Terraform (preferred), SaltStack (preferred), Chef, Ansible, Puppet ·
- Monitoring: PSM/Dynatrace (preferred), Zabbix, Datadog. ·
- Load Balancing: Azure App Gateway, AWS ELB/ALB, nginx, haproxy Basic
Qualifications: ·
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering / Computer Science ·
- 5 - 8 years of software industry experience
- ·3 to 5 year of public cloud experience

Skills Required
- Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience in software development
- 12 to 15 years of experience in server-side programming with Java
- Expertise in Java, J2EE, SQL, and clean code practices
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, design principles, and security
- Proven ability to mentor junior developers
- Experience interacting with executive-level stakeholders
