About the Role
The Software Systems Engineer ( SW Industrialization Lead) will be an interface between development teams, Program Management and Production Plants to ensure that the developed software can be used in the productions plants according to the specification. Stakeholders to interact are SW Team, Architecture Team, HW Team, Production team for all topics related to SW industrialization for the complete Product Life cycle.

Develop and document the Software Industrialization concept

Define / collect / consolidate internal and external requirements and work products for SW Industrialization to drive and confirm the concept

Introduction of new pre-production software packages in production between sample phases. Review of KPIs and feedback to SW development

Review of the SW deliveries including functionality of flash scripts, DTC information and diagnosis commands.
Your Team
The Software Industrialization Lead will report to the System Solutions Manager and will typically be assigned to multiple projects.
What You Will Do

Technical responsibility for software "Industrialization" within a Harman Connectivity projects
-
Planning, controlling, and monitoring of all tasks and activities related to "SW Industrialization" (Jira, ALM)

Providing the interface for Harman SW development departments, Harman production sites and the customer to clarify and align on all production related topics

Clarification of requirements, interfaces, timeline, etc. related to SW Industrialization with the production, customer, the impacted Harman domains, and supplier on technical level (e.g., workshops, regular communication meetings)

Support of the project leads regarding evaluation of requirements and change requests with context SW industrialization

Status reporting towards SW project lead/PM

Problem/issue ticket management related to this domain (Elvis, Jira, ALM)

Support in case of needed for proof-of-concept activities

Ensuring compliance to Harman internal and SW engineering processes required by the customer in regard to SW-Industrialization (e.g., Automotive SPICE)
What You Need
-
At least 3 years of experience as a System/SW Engineer in Automotive

Coding skills in at least one scripting language (preferably Python, Perl, Bash)

Working in embedded Linux environments (Bash commands and scripts, system initialization, application/service management)

Good English communication skills both written and verbal

Understanding of Embedded Linux ECU/TCU systems
What is Nice to Have

Knowledge of Virtual Test Environment

Experience in embedded software projects

Experience in working with Agile methodologies.

Experience and knowledge at system integration, OS, and driver testing

Experience in problem resolution management tools
-
Good knowledge of test methods and development tools
