Texas Instruments is seeking an experienced Software Quality Engineer to join our team! The Individual performing this role will debug software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. You will develop, modify, and execute software test plans. As well as analyze and write test standards and procedures. In this role you will maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software and analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. You will consult with development engineers in resolution of problems as well as provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software. You will ensure quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.

Responsibilities:

Software Quality Lead/Manager will be part of MSP organization and will be responsible to:  

  • Provide leadership support in building and growing the Quality mindset across the Organization

  • Thorough understanding of product/process quality domain – Quality Planning & improvement, Control, developing quality framework aligning to Business priorities. 

  • Should be a Team player having excellent communication skills, Problem solving skills, Analytical skills, interpersonal / facilitation skills

  • Ability to work in ambiguity and diverse Teams & Groups to derive value out of projects and priorities set by the executive leadership – need to conduct expectation setting & quality improvement exercise with each Teams & Groups

  • Should have hands-on experience in driving industry accepted best practices related to Quality mindfulness events, Process Improvement - Code review practices, Defect Prevention, Unit / Developer Test, Process Automation / Quality Dashboards etc. 

  • Hands-on experience in defining Metrics, Data collection, Validation, Analysis, Org level Baselining etc. Reporting Metrics analysis results - Insights & area of improvement to management in identifying loopholes and driving Process & Quality improvement

  • Enforce Process, KPIs & Software Engineering tools adoption & usage practices across the projects 

  • Hands-on experience/knowledge on various Software Engineering Tools used in Software Development & Project Management and attitude to learn existing tools and explore new tools to improve product quality. 

  • Good knowledge and experience of ASPICE/ISO26262/ISO21434 or equivalent Quality standards. 

  • Experience in auditing the project using Automotive SPICE, ISO 26262, ISO21434 to ensure that the work products and development process meet the quality goals

  • Coordinating internal audits and external audits as and when required

  • Experience in supporting customers/OEMs on Quality, Safety, Cybersecurity discussions through RFQ/RFI.

 (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Post Graduate/Graduate in Engineering (Applied Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field).

  • 6+ years of Quality Engineering or related work experience.

  • ISO 26262 Functional Safety Internal Auditor, Automotive SPICE Internal Auditor.

  • Collaborative approach and strong problem-solving skills to work with leaders across organizational and technical domains.

  • Excellent software engineering skills and tools experience.

  • Significant experience influencing development teams and providing technical leadership.

 

Preferred Skills/ Experience 

  • 8-12 years of experience in the field of SW Quality Assurance

  • Expert in functional safety standards like ISO 26262/ IEC 61508 is a must

  • Knowledge on ISO21434 is an added advantage. 

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 06 years of experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
