The Opportunity

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is a powerful image organisation and image manipulation software for people who love photography. It offers creative tools that a photographer need to edit, organise, store, and share photos across desktop, mobile, and web. The Adobe Digital Imaging (DI) team that builds this cutting edge imaging service is looking for a talented and highly motivated engineer and technical thinker to help build scalable and responsive desktop applications that bring this powerful image editing and organising tool in the hands of photographers.
 

What you'll do

  • Lead and manage the QE team to ensure high-quality software delivery.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive QE strategies and plans.

  • Collaborate with development teams to understand project requirements and objectives.

  • Design, develop, and complete test plans and test cases.

  • Identify, document, and track software defects and issues.

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and recommended guidelines.

  • Provide mentorship and training to QE team members.

  • Continuously improve QE processes and methodologies.

  • Collaborate with product managers and other team members to ensure alignment on quality goals.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues.

  • Monitor and report on QE metrics and performance indicators.

  • Manage and prioritize QE resources and tasks.

  • Ensure timely and accurate communication of QE status and issues.

  • Drive the adoption of automated testing tools and frameworks.

  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team.

  • Grow with the support of your team, and help others on the team grow by providing thoughtful feedback and uplifting those around you.

  • Strive to build an inclusive team supporting diverse opinions.

  • Work closely with customers to understand their workflows and needs, and adapt or pivot quickly based on their feedback.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of software development experience.

  • Proven experience in leading and managing QE teams.

  • Strong understanding of QE methodologies, tools, and processes.

  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Diligent with a strong focus on quality.

  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.

  • Ability to lead multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Experience with performance, load testing, and security testing.

  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools.

  • Passion for technology and continuous learning.

  • A good sense of humour!
