Garmin Connect is our best known, Fitness and Outdoor power-house companion app that serves tens of millions of users worldwide and supports a broad and continuously growing ecosystem of Garmin devices. The feature set is very rich and targets our complex user base with running, cycling, wellness, training, smartwatch, golfing, diving, and even pregnancy tracking feature. 

We believe that collaboration leads to the best ideas, and we rely heavily on team interaction. As a role based in Cluj-Napoca, this position will require 5 days in the office each week. 

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining automated test scripts for new and existing software features, reporting defects and/or improvements found.
  • Refactor and optimize the automation framework to ensure reliability and execution performance, with focus on API testing.
  • Collaborate with development teams to investigate and reproduce defects.
  • Create test documentation and select appropriate testing techniques necessary for product validation, based on product requirements.

Requirements
  • Must demonstrate experience in designing, writing and maintaining automated tests for complex applications.
  • Strong understanding of programming languages (preferably Java/Kotlin, and JavaScript) and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to document and isolate issues encountered during testing.
  • At least 3 years of automation testing experience for APIs and frontend applications.
  • Experience integrating automation tests in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or demonstrated relevant professional experience.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English.

  • Database servers
  • Playwright
  • Jenkins

Would be a plus:

  • ISTQB Foundation certification or equivalent
  • Mobile UI automation experience

Skills Required
