The Position
We are looking for Test Engineers with strong experience in manual and functional testing, excellent analytical skills, and good exposure to Agile processes and Azure DevOps.
You will be part of a multi-locational feature team working in an Agile methodology, performing functional, integration, and user-level testing in a fast-paced, near real-time environment where reliability and security are paramount.
As part of the team, you will be encouraged to actively contribute ideas and influence decisions at all stages of the product lifecycle to ensure high-quality delivery.
The role also includes designing, building, and maintaining automated test frameworks, with a primary focus on Playwright for UI automation. A strong understanding of test strategy, test planning, test preparation, API testing, and QA best practices is essential.
Experience with the Azure platform and a willingness to learn are key foundations for success. The role requires flexibility to support different work hours to overlap with US teams and participate in key calls.
Job Accountabilities / Detailed Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers to refine user stories and ensure test readiness
- Prepare comprehensive test plans and test scenarios based on business requirements and acceptance criteria
- Execute and review functional, UI, and API tests to validate product functionality and quality
- Perform regression testing and maintain continuous test coverage within CI/CD pipelines
- Identify quality gaps, log defects with clear documentation, and collaborate with development teams for resolution
- Design, develop, and manage automated test scripts using Playwright, applying QA principles and best practices
- Apply core testing principles: test planning, preparation, execution, reporting, and defect management
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to story estimation, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Continuously improve QA processes, automation strategies, and overall product quality
Education, Skills & Competencies:
- 7-8 years of overall testing experience with strong focus on manual and functional testing
- Disciplined in following testing processes and timelines, with prompt delivery of story points and outputs
- Strong analytical skills, eye for detail, and ability to quickly learn new applications (Payments, Wires, Entity Management, KYC, Trust Business)
- Hands-on experience in Playwright (JavaScript-based automation)
- Good exposure to API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured
- Experience working in Agile teams with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
- Financial Services / Investment Banking domain experience is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with a quality-first mindset
- Flexibility to support different work hours to overlap with US teams and participate in key calls
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred
