As an Associate Software QA Engineer, you will work with both local and remote teams to analyze business requirements, create and document testing plans, execute various types of testing, and coordinate testing activities. You will also be responsible for documenting and prioritizing issues in an issue tracking system and preparing reports and metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with local and remote teams.
  • Analyze business requirements and formulate testing plans.
  • Create & document detailed and well-structured overall product quality plans based on specifications.
  • Create and implement software quality assurance plans.
  • Execute test cases manually.
  • Document, reproduce, prioritize issues on issue tracking system (e.g. Jira) and verify issue resolutions.
  • Execute different types of testing: functional, exploratory, end-to-end, regression (e.g. Selenium), stress (e.g. JMeter), soak and security testing.
  • Coordinate testing activities with other members of the team.
  • Prepare and present reports and metrics.


Requirements
  • Effective interpersonal & communication skills, energetic, proactive.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
  • Ability to work on Windows and Mac environments.
  • Ability to design and build test plans using QA related tools (Selenium, Python, JMeter and the like).


Plus

  • Experience testing mission critical financial trading systems.
  • Scripting skills such as Perl & Python.
  • Ability to troubleshoot using SQL, Linux, network tools.
  • Experience automating tests (stress & non-stress).

 Interview Process

  • Phone interview: 1 hour, meet with HR.
  • Onsite Interview: 2.5 - 3 hours
    • 0.5 hour - onsite test
    • 1.5-2 hours - meet with hiring managers.
    • 0.5 hour - meet with HR.
