Join us on the Product Management team as a Software Product Owner. In this role you will help drive the development of our software solutions, ensuring alignment with our advanced hardware offerings. Reporting to the Software Product Manager, the Software Product Owner will manage and prioritize the software product backlog, balancing requirements to deliver integrated products that meet customer needs. Start your journey with Anova today!
 

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

Roadmap Development and Coordination 

  •  Work closely with the Product Managers to develop and maintain a detailed software roadmap that aligns with Anova’s timelines and strategic goals. 
  • Ensure the software product roadmap is coordinated with the hardware product roadmap, allowing for timely development and seamless integration. 

Backlog Management 

  •  Own the software product backlog, working with the Product Manager to prioritize features and align them with business and technical requirements. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Partner with teams to ensure software compatibility and seamless performance across platforms and devices.  
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, marketing, and customer support to align the product strategy with business objectives. 
  • Serve as the primary software lead in cross-functional team discussions, coordinating closely with other Product Owners to manage dependencies and integration points. 

Requirement Gathering & Analysis 

  •  Collaborate with the Product Manager to gather product requirements from stakeholders, customers, and market research, translating them into actionable stories and acceptance criteria. 

Stakeholder Communication 

  •  Serve as the primary liaison between development teams and stakeholders, providing clear, consistent updates and collaborating with the Product Manager to manage expectations. 

Sprint Planning & Execution 

  • Coordinate with Agile development teams on sprint planning and execution, ensuring alignment with the roadmap and quality standards. 

Quality Assurance 

  • Define acceptance criteria and partner with QA to maintain Anova’s high standards for product quality and performance.
     

Product Integration 

  • Ensure seamless interaction between software and hardware for cohesive user experiences. 

Risk Management 

  • Identify potential risks related, communicating proactively with the Product Manager to develop mitigation strategies. 

Align on Product Vision 

  • Work with the Software Product Manager to align on high-level product goals and priorities, ensuring hardware and software components complement each other. 

Ensure Continuous Improvement 

  • Partner with the Software Product Manager and Product Owners to gather feedback, incorporate lessons learned, and continuously improve Anova’s products and processes. 

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements -  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 4 years as a Product Owner, ideally in IoT, consumer electronics, or other hardware-integrated software products. 
  • Full professional proficiency in English, both written and oral.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development life cycles. 
  • Familiarity with hardware constraints and integration with software development. 
  • Ability to analyze complex challenges and create solutions that address both software and hardware needs. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate product requirements and updates. 
  • Commitment to understanding user needs and translating them into valuable software features. 
  • Ability to coordinate and influence cross-functional teams, driving collaboration and aligning on product goals. 
  • Comfortable navigating both software and hardware constraints, ensuring integrated, high-quality product solutions. 

 

Preferred Qualifications –  

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent preferred. 

 

Physical Requirements –  

  • Ability to perform typical office tasks, including sitting or standing for extended periods, using a computer, communicating effectively, and occasionally lifting light items
