Honeywell’s Security and Access Solutions business provides high-value security products and services that are critical for buildings around the globe. You will be joining one of our most strategic initiatives to build a cloud-based software-as-a-service unified security solution supporting access control, video, and monitoring capabilities. As part of the engineering team, you will be a key contributor to our continuous delivery team, taking ownership of specific features and modules within our unified security solution. You will work independently on development tasks while collaborating with the team on design and architecture. This position requires a solid foundation in web development and the ability to translate requirements into working software.
Responsibilities- Design and develop robust frontend features using React and TypeScript
- Integrate frontend applications with backend RESTful services
- Participate in feature planning and estimation within an Agile environment
- Debug complex issues across the web application stack
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code quality through peer reviews
- Maintain and refactor existing codebases to improve performance and maintainability
MUST HAVE
- 3 years of experience developing modern web applications
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Solid experience with React.js and its core principles (Hooks, State Management)
- Experience consuming RESTful web services and working with asynchronous data
- Experience writing unit and integration tests (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
