We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Software Engineering Manager to lead our Video Safety engineering team. This critical role involves overseeing the development and enhancement of our innovative video safety software product, designed to improve the safety of commercial truck drivers on the road. Our system utilizes in-cab dashcams to detect and report safety-critical events such as driver fatigue, close following, and lane departure warnings. These events are then reviewed by back-office administrators via a dedicated portal.

• Lead and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor and coach team members, providing regular feedback and supporting their professional growth and career development.
• Implement and maintain high engineering standards, best practices, and processes across the team to ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and reliable software.
• Coordinate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and other engineering teams, to align on goals and deliver integrated solutions, working with a global team spanning North America, Europe, and Latin America (Brazil).
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Drive technical excellence and innovation, ensuring the team leverages appropriate technologies and architectural patterns.
• Ensure the team's adherence to project timelines and deliverables while maintaining a focus on quality and user experience.
• Act as a technical leader, providing guidance and expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS), backend development (Kotlin), and front-end technologies (React).
• Champion a safety-first mindset within the engineering team, ensuring the product's features and performance directly contribute to safer driving practices.
• Knowledge of Kotlin and Java

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience in software development in a leadership or management role.
• Proven experience managing and leading high-performing software engineering teams.
• Strong technical proficiency in cloud platforms, specifically AWS, including services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and others relevant to scalable applications.
• Expertise in backend development using Kotlin.
• Experience with front-end technologies, particularly React.
• Demonstrated experience with scaled, high-availability systems.
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum) and best practices.
• Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of leading with empathy, fostering a positive team environment, and effectively managing individual and team performance.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with video processing, computer vision, or IoT applications is a plus.
• Advanced/Fluent english is mandatory - written and speaking
