Software Engineering Lead Analyst - HIH - Evernorth
Evernorth, a leading Health Services company, is looking for exceptional engineers/developers in our Data and Analytics organization. In this role, you will actively participate with your development team on initiatives that support Evernorth's strategic goals as well as subject matter experts to understand business logic you will be engineering.
This role ensures high quality, trusted data within Cigna/ Evernorth by developing automated data quality rules, monitoring routines, and dashboards that align with business and governance strategies. The Data Quality Analyst/Engineer transforms business requirements into technical data quality rules, maintains codebases, analyzes the underlying data., enables alerting and self service capabilities, and collaborates across data, governance, and technology teams to reduce data quality risks.
The ideal candidate will work in a team environment that demands technical excellence, whose members are expected to hold each other accountable for the overall success of the end product. Focus for this team is on the delivery of innovative solutions to complex problems, but also with a mind to drive simplicity in refining and supporting of the solution by others
Roles & Responsibilities
Translate business requirements into technical data quality rules and maintain associated Python codebases leveraging git.
Develop automated data quality monitoring routines, dashboards, and alerts for key data quality indicators.
Implement and operate Collibra Data Quality (DQ) jobs, including dataset creation, rule execution, and troubleshooting.
Leverage Collibra DI views, glossary structures, and governance workflows to ensure alignment with enterprise data standards.
Audit and profile large datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and data quality risks; support root‑cause analysis.
Partner with data governance, engineering, and business teams to monitor, manage, and mitigate data quality issues.
Integrate DQ processes with cloud and on‑prem data sources (Oracle, S3, etc.).
Qualifications
Required Experience & Education:
5 - 8 years of experience in data management, data analysis, data profiling, and statistical techniques.
Must have a thorough understanding of concepts of Data Quality.
Expert Python skills, including automation, data processing, and script optimization.
Hands‑on experience with Collibra Data Quality, including dataset creation, DQ job execution, agent configuration, and issue resolution.
Strong understanding of Collibra DI views, glossary hierarchies, and governance workflows.
Must be proficient in writing Advanced SQL queries going against multiple databases.
Familiarity with cloud file processing (S3), service account authentication, and endpoint testing.
