Overview:
The MoneyLion’s Summer Internship is a 10-week program that kicks off in June, 2024. The program provides selected candidates the opportunity to explore what it's like to work at a leading Fintech organization.
During your internship at MoneyLion, you will engage in projects that have a direct influence on our business operations, gain exposure to seasoned industry professionals, and enhance your skill set for professional growth. This full-time role requires your presence at our New York City office four days a week.
About the Role
We are seeking senior year college students or recent college graduates, who are passionate about the technology and financial services space, MoneyLion’s Engineering team for an Internship Program. As an Intern, you will support our various engineering teams and will improve your engineering skills while building new features and services. .
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to our senior engineers
- Spend time working with our engineers working on impactful projects that will expand our API offerings, frontend experiences, and generally improve features and services
- See up-close how software gets built at a medium-sized technical organization
- Get exposure to Agile workflows and planning cycles
About You
- Demonstrable interest in any of the skills we use day-to-day, including:
- Frontend: JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS/Sass, HTML, JSX
- Backend: Scala, Kafka, SQL
- Project based exposure to (or at least familiarity with):
- General: Git, relational or NoSQL databases
- Frontend: Node.js, Nest.js, React.js,
- Backend: JVM-based languages, functional programming
- Familiarity with any of the tools and services we use, including IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio Code, GitHub, CircleCI, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS
- Demonstrated organization, communication, and collaboration skills
- Proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Highly detail oriented, meticulous, and creative
- Proficient in Google Workspace products (i.e. Google Docs, Sheets, Slides)
The base hourly rate for Software Engineering Intern is $25.00.
