As Business Intelligence and Analytics department (BI&A), we support the business lines DUV and EUV with analytical insights and data-driven decision making to support their priorities as well as supporting ASML Prioritized Initiatives via the cross-sector Business Process Improvement (BPI) organization.
As BI&A BA Agile Release Train (ART), we are developing AI solutions to enable ASML end users with insights and helping stakeholders to make decisions based on facts. Within our team, we are looking for a software engineer with experience/interest in front-end web development and generative AI to build the user interface that will be used by our users to interact with our generative AI based solution we are developing.
Within our team, we are developing Azure-based generative AI solutions to provide end users in ASML factories with insights into potential issues and improve the resolution of those issues. The main deliverable of this assignment is the improved user interface using which users in ASML factories will interact with our solution, thus enhancing the overall user experience, more details as follows:
Enhance the current UI to better support streaming responses from AI agents
Validate the solution with end users
Write supporting technical documentation
This is a master's level internship (non thesis) starting in September. For minimum 3 days or fulltime. With hybrid working environment.
To be a good fit for this internship, you are ideally a master's student in software engineering, computer science, data science or related discipline. Moreover, you should also have:
Experience/interest in front-end web development
Experience/interest in Generative AI models (e.g. OpenAI)
Knowledge in Python programming
Experience with front-end frameworks. Preferably, experience with SPA frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js to build scalable and maintainable UI components.
Experience with UX/UI Design: creating intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
Professional communication and documentation: can explain and present technical matters within the team.
Work in a multidisciplinary team & collaborate with other teams.
Pragmatic, pro-active, ‘self-propelling’ way of working and able to operate in a dynamic environment.
Other requirements you need to meet
You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you ‘re currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).

This job position is part of the Distributed Analytics Network (DAN, a network consisting of analytics entities (called Analytics ‘Nodes’) throughout the different sectors at ASML. The main objective of the DAN network is to create an aligned way of working across the organization, to bring our ASML’s analytics capabilities to the next level.
